Reigny Nights (Two Novels)

Two Novels: “I.O.U.” by April M. Reign and “Vampire Love Story” by H.T. Night

I.O.U.
Book # 1 “The Mancini Saga”

Twenty-seven-year-old detective Carlo Mancini is your average do-good kind-of-guy with an insatiable appetite for justice. However, Carlo has one personal setback: his inability to let a senseless crime become a cold case. His obsession to uphold the law has led him on a ten-year, dead-end search for the infamous IOU thief.

Twenty-six-year-old Mia Baker lives a normal life: a quaint apartment overlooking Central Park, cherished friends, and Pirate, her one-eyed cat. To most people, Mia’s life seems perfect; but to Mia, that couldn’t be further from the truth-especially when her disturbing past comes back to haunt her.

When Detective Mancini bangs on Mia’s front door, he has no idea he will soon unravel some disturbing truths about himself, and the woman in front of him. One chance encounter can destroy the very fabric of their woven lives when Carlo realizes reality is not always black and white…

. . . Especially when secrets are involved.

The Burning Point (The Circle of Friends)

The first contemporary novel by New York Times bestselling author, The Burning Point is a riveting story of the ties that bind two people together-and the incendiary forces that can tear them apart.

Kate Corsi always dreamed of working for her family’s world famous explosive demolition business-a wish her old-fashioned father denied until the day he died. According to his will, Kate will receive a fortune while her ex-husband, Donovan, will inherit the family business. But only if they agree to live under the same roof for a year.

Forced into a reluctant alliance, Kate and Donovan must discover the truth about her father’s death-and confront the past that almost destroyed them both. And as they face their shattered dreams, their wrenching secrets and bitter resentments, they find themselves sliding perilously toward the burning point where passion catches fire once more….

* The Burning Point was listed as one of the five best romances of the year by Library Journal.

“Powerhouse novelist Mary Jo Putney explodes on the contemporary scene with an emotionally wrenching and dramatically intense story. She tackles a very difficult subject with insight, and compassion. Exceptionally powerful reading!”
* Jill Smith, Romantic Times, 4 ½ stars and a Top Pick rating

“This passionate love story unravels gradually, in trademark Putney style. The author has created a realistic, well-crafted story, laced with elements of suspense and mystery and featuring sympathetic protagonists whose biggest mistake was marrying too young.”
* Publishers Weekly

“Kate and Patrick are both complex people, and answers do not come easily for the unresolved issues in their past. Set against the backdrop of demolition work and a question of sabotage, this gripping story sizzles with passion and danger, but is ultimately about healing and forgiveness-not only for others, but for ourselves as well. Mary Jo Putney will no doubt gain new fans with this book.”
* Lenore Howard, The Old Book Barn Gazette

“Ms. Putney is one of the very best authors who excel at historical romances-now she’s crafted her first contemporary and fans of both genres will be delighted to learn that her incredible talent for compelling characterization and original premises comes through on every page. She takes a taboo issue not normally found in a romance and with touching sensitivity, creates a poignant tale about forgiveness and the awesome power of love to heal all wounds….I could not put it down.”
* Darlene Kendall, Rendezvous

More Reviews

  • Brant’s talent is undeniable… dare I admit… I enjoyed Salt Bride more than many of Georgette Heyer’s own beloved works and that is high praise indeed.
    –Courtney Webb, Stiletto Storytime
  • A love story that fans of historical romance will relish… the author guides the reader though the maze of misunderstandings without ever giving the game away.
    –Fiona I., Readers Favorite
  • If you appreciate well researched, beautifully plotted and engaging romance then this is the book for you. I’ve ploughed through many Georgian romances that are advertised to be: ‘just like Georgette Heyer’ or ‘simply fantastic’ and haven’t managed to plough through the first 100 pages. Here there are no cliche’s, no references to autumn as ‘fall’, pavements as ‘sidewalks’ or 18th century dukes wearing ‘pants’

  • Ms. Brant is a genius for dialogue! I was gasping and laughing nearly the entire time.  …I highly recommend this book! I was entertained to the fullest while reading, and can honestly say I haven’t read a book that hooked me like this one did in quite some time
